Our Process
Your LP is properly cleaned using a carbon fibre brush (N/A for Cassette). Your LP/cassette is only played once and then is stored in a safe place until it is returned to you. We then use only high-end professional Technics and Stanton Turntables along with high end professional cassette decks.
The LP/cassette is then digitally transfered at 24bit/92kHz which results in one large .wav file for both sides of the album/tape.
We then normalize the whole audio file this way all the tracks will be normailzed together to ensure the audio plays at proper volume.
We start the noise reduction process by using professionall studio quality software to remove tapes hiss and noise.
We set the parameters of this process by manually assessing the noise level of your source, and in some cases, run multiple passes to remove as much noise as possible. In other words, more agressive noise reduction is used for more noisy tapes.
For the custom equallization and noise reduction service only, We select the "silent" passages between each track, and replace whatever noise is remaining with absolute zero silence. For custom noise reduction, we also equalize the waveform in order to give the music a little more bass or punch up the vocals (if needed).
We then convert the 24bit/92kHz file down to 16bit/44,1kHz which is CD quality separate it into individual .wav files which is then burnt to a high quality Taiyo Yuden CD.
Last but not least we then lable your CD accodingly by printing directly onto the CD (Standard and White Glove service only) (Paper Lable is Used for Basic Service).
